The second post of the third

Yes, I thought I'd post again today. Here are few pictures of the set for my play after it was decorated and finished. I think it turned out well. We received a lot of compliments on it. I had one lady tell me that she'd like to have "that room in my house."

It looks terrific! I liked it before, but it just looks so warm and homey with furniture. And that's just my taste in decorating. I'll take one too please.

One day, I swear, I'll live in a place where I can paint the walls that color. I get so tired of white, off-white, a lighter shade of white, and pale white.

Looks pretty.

When you are finished with that couch, can I have it?

Wish I could give you the room, Trixie, but it's a little out of my price range! The couch alone is $1200.

Those colors for the set are available at Sherwin Williams, Crystal. The walls are Coconut Husk and the baseboards and trim are Latte. They're even nicer looking in real life. The walls have a silver sheen to them.

No, Mark, but I'm sure the dealer would love to sell it to you. It's brushed suede and so soft and comfy.

The place that loaned us the furniture also had a selection of rugs, FF. That rug is at my house. I purchased it. It was on sale for $97. It's under my kitchen table now.

The geometric painting at stage right was done by me! I've never painted before, and I really enjoyed doing it. It now hangs in my bedroom.

The place is a local furniture store. It's not a chain, but I will look at the rug and see if it has the name of the maker and the design number and email ya!

Copy me all you want!

No one has commented on my painting. Sigh.

I love your painting! I just saw that you're the artist. Isn't it amazing the talents people have and may not be aware of?

Thank you, Trixie. I'm going to try to do some more.

Thanks, Randall. I tried to duplicate the colors.

Thanks, FF! I'm not really sure if it's all that good because I know nothing about art, but I certainly enjoyed painting it and want to try to do more of them.

"That's why it's never a good idea to give art as a gift unless you're sure the recipient wants something specific." -- FF

Good point. I think a lot of books are that way, too. I know my tastes, but I'm never sure about anyone else's. I think that's why gift cards are so popular. I know I like receiving them.

Would a different frame help the errant artwork, FF? You'd be surprised how much a frame can change the look of a painting. You could also accidently drop it. I'm not saying that has happened to any knick-knacks I've received. I'm not saying that ...

Really, I guess it depends on where you dropped it at. Say, you went on a trip to New York and carried it up the Empire State Building and then dropped it. It would probably break then, but it wouldn't matter because you'd be in jail since it's a crime to drop things off the ESB.

You have to wonder why, though, they looked at it and said, "Golly, that would be perfect for FF and her husband!"

Ever so often, I get a gift like that, and I have to wonder why they thought I'd like it.
