In all these years, and yes I have several, I have yet to find the "perfect" Nativity. I am not sure what it is with me, I am waiting for that epiphany or something that just tells me the one I am currently looking at is the one. It's odd, 'cause I want one so bad.
I really like this one...the simplicity is beautiful when it represents something so deep and meaningful. Truth, is simple and clean...
My mother used to collect them, Michelle, so I picked up the habit from her. I have about nine sets now. I try to find ones that "speak" to me. An odd thing to say, I know, but they have to have something that sparks my interest. None of them are very expensive, but I think all of them are beautiful.
Exactly, one that "speaks". Growing up, we had one that was very elaborate (kind of funny since my adopted family held no reverence when it came to God) but I remember looking at it in awe. Afraid to touch, afraid to come too close, for fear of messing up what seemed so perfect. I would stare at baby Jesus. just...wonder. I was rather introspective as a child lol.
Anyway, would love to see the others in your collection.

Thank you, Trixie. It is one of my favorites.
(And once again, you are first! :) )
