Earth

Today I bend down to tie my shoelace, and I could feel the heat emanating from the earth. The sun is cooking the soil. Right now, it's warm and moist, but if this summer continues, eventually the earth will bake hard as a rock.

Reminds me of the theory that a nuclear reaction at the center of the earth is what drives volcanic action as well as generating the magnetic field that surrounds our planet. No one knows for certain, although the theory does make sense. There's certainly enough pressure and heat down there to generate such a reaction.

And in Africa, a nuclear reaction took place over thousands of years because of the right combination of elements and pressure. A natural nuclear power plant, although no one used it as far we know. Maybe those pesky ancient aliens did. They get blamed for a lot.

Anyway, talk to you tomorrow.
