Beautiful orchid

My good friend AmberClear raises orchids, among her many other talents. She sent me this photo and allowed me to post it here. This particular orchid is a "potinara Danny Adams 'Edith North'" variety.

Beautiful! I'm amazed by its color.

Orchids are incredible plants, and not as hard to grow as most people think. They do require care, but they're worth it. AmberClear has grown them for years.

Nice. My mom used to grow orchids, but they finally all died on her. I think she overwatered them.

I don't know a lot about orchids, but I do know they don't like to sit in water. That will kill them quick.

Beautiful. I am craving spring so bad, I can taste it.

Oh, wait...that's my breakfast.

LOL, Michelle!

But I thought you liked snow.

I like snow, when I am curled up in an easy chair in front of a warm fire, watching the snow out the window. It is really pretty to watch it fall and to see it covering the trees. But that is about it.

I get a little tired of being in it all the time, however. All wet and cold...and...cold.

*whimper* I am tired of being cold.

I think I've already made my feelings about wretched, cold weather known ... :) but we sure could do with some wet stuff here. Rain or snow would help. We had a grassfire near our town Sunday. I could see the smoke from my house. It was contained, but it was scary.

LOL Wretched? It's not that bad, but it sure does get old after a while.

I have been watching about the fires on the news. It seems so odd to be hearing about fires this time of year. I do hope you guys get some rain soon. I didn't know it came so close to you, though...glad you are ok.

That's an absolutely gorgeous picture!

Yes, we sure could use some rain here in Central Texas. And I know exactly what's going to happen. When it does rain it will rain and rain and rain until we're sick of it! :)

I'm very happy for you that the fire didn't come any closer.

I think, Gayle, that I'm willing to be sick of rain now! :)

I wondered if you heard any more from your troll. I've been checking your blog, but I haven't seen anything there, and I haven't received a single trollish comment today so maybe it's moved on. I hope so.
